Desireé Nash’s “Check Please”

I created this poster a little over a year ago for the first run of Desireé Nash’s outstanding solo show, Check Please.

She’s bringing it back to The PIT again THIS VERY NIGHT, so it seemed like a good time to post it.

And it’s also her birthday, so, you know.  You should definitely go see this hilarious show.

Happy birthday, Dez!

Your Final Reminder

Featuring ventriloquist Carla Rhodes, guitar virtuoso Shonali Bhowmik, extreme sketch comedy troupe FUCT, and jazz/pop ensemble The Pendulum Swings, Featuring Jason Trachtenburg!

Plus special appearances by some of my best improv buddies, short films by Kevin Scott and The Upset Triangle, and musical accompaniment by Colin McNally and Mike Ferrara.

morningshow:

Hey, Morning Show-keteers!

There’s no Morning Show in December, but you can still get your monthly fix of Hobart in The 38th Annual J Hobart B All-Star Christmas Spectacular, coming up at The PIT on Friday, December 16th at 8PM!

The classic Christmas special will also include a number of familiar faces to Morning Show fans, including our friends Carla Rhodes, Shonali Bhowmik and The Pendulum Swings, Featuring Jason Trachtenburg (plus sketch comedy troupe FUCT and short films by Kevin Scott and The Upset Triangle, too)!

You can get your tickets in advance here, and we suggest you do, as this show has a tendency to sell out!

Happy holidays, and we’ll see you back in our usual slot in January!

Not sure whom I’m ripping off more here, Basil Wolverton or Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, so I’ll credit them both.

This seems like as good a place as any to start.
Here’s a caricature I drew of Daniel Rossen and Fred Nicolaus (of the band Department of Eagles) way back in 2005, before they released In Ear Park and became the indie darlings they are now.
Plain old graphite pencil on sketchbook paper.
